<div>This is not an easy story for me to tell.

<div>I’ve always tried to handle things on my own. I’ve always believed in working hard, helping people when I can, and trying to find a way forward even when life gets difficult. I’m not someone who likes asking for help.

<div>But sometimes life puts you in a position where you have to put your pride aside and be honest about what you’re going through.
</div>

<div>After I graduated from high school, I had goals for myself. I wanted to go to school, work, save money, and build a better future.

<div>So I worked.
</div>

</div>
<div>I went to TJC while working the night shift at Big Lots. I was trying to balance school and work while saving money because I wanted to buy myself a better car.

<div>At the time, I had a green car.

<div>Some of y’all probably remember seeing me driving it. Honestly, there were times when I felt embarrassed about it because it constantly gave me problems. It would overheat, break down, and leave me dealing with one problem after another.

<div>But I kept driving it.

</div>
<div>I needed it to get to work. I needed it to get where I needed to go. Even when I was frustrated, embarrassed, or worried that it might break down again, I kept getting behind the wheel.

<div>Eventually, the problems became too much.

<div>My car couldn’t reliably make the long drive, and I didn’t have another dependable way to get to college. I had to withdraw from school.

<div>That was difficult for me.

<div>But I didn’t stop trying.

</div>
<div>I decided to focus on working. I got two jobs—Bath &amp; Body Works during the day and Big Lots at night.

<div>I was tired. I was working constantly. But I had a goal.

<div>I wanted a better car.

</div>
<div>I wanted something reliable.

<div>There were times when I barely had any sleep because I was so focused on working and saving.

<div>I saved enough money to get myself a better used car.

<div>It wasn’t brand new.

<div>Right now, I only have one job, and financially, it isn’t enough to handle everything I’m facing.

<div>Thankfully, some of my close friends have been there for me. They have helped me when they could, and I will always be grateful for those people.

<div>But now I’m facing another problem that I cannot solve financially by myself.

<div>On Friday, November 15th, Mark suffered a series of life-threatening medical complications and had to be placed on life support. By the grace God, two days later, Mark made an incredible step forward: he was able to breathe on his own and is now awake and coherent.

<div>This moment was nothing short of a miracle for his family and it showed, more than ever, the strength of Mark’s spirit, his determination to fight for those he loves, and his unwavering drive to keep going despite overwhelming odds.

<div>Still, Mark remains in extremely serious condition, and the road ahead is long and uncertain. Doctors and surgical teams continue to meet daily as they plan the next steps in his care. It's been a tough week for <strong>Brayden</strong>'s family.  He tragically drowned in a friend's swimming pool.  He was only 6 years old and he was due to start first grade at The Murphy School, in a couple of weeks.  Brayden leaves behind his mother; <strong>Jessica Kelly</strong>, his grandmother; <strong>Teresa Salisbury</strong>,  his brother; <strong>Anthony Martindale</strong> (of SJPIICA-Neponset), his stepdad; <strong>Kenny O'Keefe.  </strong> Brayden was the center of their lives and he is going to be missed very much.  <br /><br />This family has been through so much in such a short period of time.  They are in need of prayers, love and financial help to get through this painful time.  Any financial help is greatly appreciated and will be used to help cover funeral costs.  <br /><br />My name is Patty Loveday and my son is friends with Brayden's brother Anthony.  I'm just trying to help this family cover the costs of this senseless tragedy.  We live in Dorchester, MA; as does this family.  The funds will only be accessible by Brayden's mother - Jessica Kelly.

In January 2023, Lindsay Clancy was accused of killing her three young children in the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts home.<br /><br />More than three years later, her case is now being tried in court. Throughout those three years, Lindsay’s parents, Mike and Paula Musgrove, have continued to show up for their daughter.<br /><br />And that is who this fundraiser is for, Mike and Paula, who have spent years traveling back and forth, staying in hotels, attending court proceedings and ultimately relocating from Connecticut to Massachusetts so they could remain close to Lindsay. <br /><br />Their lives have largely been put on hold while they have continued doing what parents do: showing up for their child during the unimaginable.<br /><br />That has come at an enormous financial cost. This fundraiser is not asking anyone to agree on Lindsay, her case, or what the outcome of her trial should be.  People will have different feelings about all of those things.  <br /><br />It is simply an opportunity to help two parents who have spent more than three years carrying a financial burden on top of an emotional one most of us cannot begin to imagine.<br /><br />Mike and Paula are the named beneficiaries of this GoFundMe and receive the funds directly. I do not have access to the money.  The fundraiser was established with their knowledge and consent, and Lindsay’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, is aware of it.<br /><br />The money belongs to Mike and Paula.  The purpose of this fundraiser is to give them back some of the financial stability they have lost over the last three years and allow them to decide what they need as they eventually begin figuring out what life looks like after this trial.<br /><br />At some point, the court proceedings will end.  Mike and Paula will still have a life to return to. There will still be bills, a home, lost savings, and years of putting their own lives on hold while they stood beside their daughter.<br /><br />More than anything, this fundraiser came from a very simple thought: What if thousands of strangers could help carry just one piece of this for them?<br /><br />And that is exactly what has happened.  This fund has grown because thousands of people independently decided that Mike and Paula deserve some support after everything they have carried.<br /><br />If you feel the same, please consider donating or sharing the Musgrove Family Fund.
