I’m Abigail, and I’m starting this fundraiser for myself as I live with mitochondrial disease and am in need of stem cell therapy, but the cost is more than I can manage on my own. My disease has aggressively attacked my central nervous system and my liver and my ability to sleep for normal amounts of time. I haven't slept much each night for the past 10 months. The funds raised will go toward stem cell therapy and the related care that comes with this treatment. I love my children, and I want to be here for them as long as I can. I have been bedbound for 10 months and as my illness progressed last year, I was unable to continue working and my family not only lost my income, but also lost all the caregiving help that I provided.
