Help Us Spread Love Across California This Holiday Season By: Yuri Williams | Founder, AFutureSuperHero and Friends Hello everyone, My name is Yuri Williams, and I am the founder of the nonprofit AFutureSuperHero and Friends, based in Los Angeles, California. Since 2009, our mission has been to bring hope, love, compassion, and kindness to those in need through superhero-inspired community service. Our team has completed six 50-State Tours, serving thousands of children, veterans, elderly, houseless individuals, and animals across the country. This year, although we won’t be doing our national 50-state journey, we’re focusing on something special here at home with The California Love Tour #2. What Is The California Love Tour? This December, I’ll be traveling up and down & around the California coast from Northern California to the southern beaches dressed as Deadpool Elf, alongside friends and volunteers. Our goal is to bring joy, love, and support to those who need it most during the holidays. We’ll be delivering: Dog and cat food to animal shelters Hygiene products to hardworking fieldworkers Toys to children in hospitals and low-income communities Food, clothing, and basic needs to struggling families ☕ Coffee and snacks to firemenand first responders Every stop is a chance to remind someone that they are not forgotten. Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters, Some journeys begin with loss — but lead to something beautiful. After losing my mother to cancer in 2009, I struggled deeply. It took years of healing, reflection, and rediscovering joy through childhood memories — toys, comics, and community service. That healing turned into purpose. Around that time, I met someone whose heart matched mine: Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service. What began as two strangers on separate missions quickly became a brotherhood rooted in compassion and service. Together, we’ve traveled to all 50 states, not for vacation, but to visit families of children with disabilities, special needs, and those battling life-threatening illnesses. Dressed as superheroes, we brought smiles, love, and moments of hope to kids who needed it most — especially during the holidays. All of these special moments were captured by the great Nate “Natflix “ Cribari . That journey is now captured in our powerful new documentary: Hope for the Holidays. This film takes you behind the scenes of our mission — the miles, the laughter, the tears, and most of all, the families whose strength inspired us at every stop. It’s a film about showing up for others. It’s about reminding the world that kindness still exists. But to bring this film to the world, we need your help. Now, we’re seeking to raise $8,000 to cover the final legal filings and distribution costs so this message of hope can reach classrooms, living rooms, and hearts around the globe. This is more than a documentary — it’s a mission of love, brotherhood, and service. And we believe it can inspire people to do good in their own communities.
