On Saturday, what was supposed to be the happiest day of Anna and Connor’s lives took a sudden and heartbreaking turn.

Just before their wedding, Anna was feeling unwell. When her symptoms didn’t improve, they made the difficult decision to have a short, private ceremony in front of their immediate family before she was taken to the ER for evaluation. She was ultimately life-flighted by helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where it was confirmed that she had suffered a stroke. She will remain in the hospital for several weeks as she begins her recovery.

The wedding celebration they had spent months planning never happened. Instead, Connor is now by his wife’s side, facing an uncertain road ahead.
