Dear family, friends, Serbian community, football community and all those with a good charitable heart!

Most of us know Slobodan (Slobo aka Slob) Vulin as a compassionate, loving son, brother, teammate and true friend with an amazingly soft heart off the field. ❤️

He’s a fiercely loyal, passionate, disciplined, intelligent, brave and talented footballer on the field!

Over the last 12 and a half months Slobo has been fighting the longest and toughest match of his life. He’s been battling Ewings Sarcoma (cancer).

With amazing strength and resilience he’s completed the extremely aggressive and strong chemo treatment and subsequent surgery to give him the best chance of beating this terrible disease.

The initial results were very promising but in a twist of fate Slobo requires further immediate treatment. To use football terminology Slobo was up winning until the 90th minute and unfortunately the score has equalised in the last minute. We are now going into extra time.

There is a groundbreaking cancer trials that could assist with the treatment and combined with more chemotherapy treatments we are hopefully it will help Slobo win in extra time this battle and settle the score once and for all with a victory! Unfortunately there is no such treatment in Australia and the costs for the treatment are not covered by Medicare making it extremely expensive.

This also requires Slobo to travel overseas to either Germany or the USA or both to receive new groundbreaking treatment.

This is a battle / game that only Slobo can fight and win! Knowing Slobo he will rise to the challenge once again and will win this extremely difficult battle!

Unfortunately there isn’t much we can do other than to show our solidarity, love, support and passion to help Slobo win!

Slobo’s family and he’s beautiful girlfriends family has been with him every step of the way but this is our opportunity to join the battle and help him win! We all want to see again this amazing Eagle fly high very soon!
