Honoring Mike Aufiero – Support for His Family

We are heartbroken to share the passing of our dear friend and brother, Mike Aufiero. Born on August 30, 1999, in Huntington, New York, Mike was the beloved son of Michael Sr. and Nora Cristina Ferreira Aufiero. He grew up in Huntington and East Northport, NY, as well as Broomfield, CO, and graduated from John Glenn High School in 2017. He later earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, where he became a proud brother of the Iota Phi Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity.

Mike was the kind of person who could light up any room. His infectious energy, love for music, and unwavering passion for the Giants, Knicks, and Mets made him truly unforgettable. From DJing high school parties to bringing the fraternity lots to life, music was always a part of him.

He was more than a friend; he was a brother, and our fraternity was lucky to call him one of our own. Mike was deeply loved by all of us, and his presence will forever be in our hearts.

We are raising funds to support his family during this unimaginable time and to help ease the financial burden of funeral expenses. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in honoring Mike’s memory and supporting his loved ones.
