Help a local athlete reach the World Championships

This fundraiser is for Christiana "Roo" Truebenbach, a young local stand-up paddleboarding athlete who has just been given an incredible opportunity. After racing in the USA SUP National Championships this past weekend, Roo qualified for and received an invitation from USA SUP to compete in the World Championships in Saubadia, Italy on October 15, 2026. This is a huge honor and an important step toward Roo’s dream of becoming a world-class athlete. The challenge is that the trip is less than three weeks away (5-day competition from October 14-18), and Roo’s family cannot afford the cost without major fundraising and community support.

Donations will help cover the travel and competition expenses needed to make this opportunity possible, including roundtrip international airfare, accommodations, a rental car, food, transport of Roo’s racing board and equipment, registration fees, and other necessary travel costs. Roo’s family has spent years volunteering and supporting fundraising efforts for local charities, youth, cancer patients, schools, and nonprofit organizations, and they have never been on the receiving end of that generosity. It is very difficult for them to ask for financial help, but their community has encouraged them to create a way for people to rally around Roo and help this young local athlete pursue big dreams and goals.
