Completion Funds for Taha's Theorem

Donation protected
I'm a few weeks away from completing my first post-grad school independent documentary, "Taha's Theorem", which I've been producing and self-funding for the last 13 months.

"Taha's Theorem" tells the story of Taha Muhammad and his goal to prove that he has solved one of the world's hardest math problems. But Taha is no ordinary mathematician. He is a Kurdish refugee who fled Saddam Hussein in the early 1990s and came to the United States with his wife Malika and their young family.

(Early proof of concept. Not reflective of the current edit.)

The documentary is a portrait of a family's resilience, determination in the face of impossible odds, and how past trauma can impact one's life in unexpected ways.

I've been working nights on this film all year, pouring every extra cent into bringing the story to life.

I'd love your help in putting together some completion funds for this passion project that means so much to me as well as to the Muhammad family.

Thanks for anything you can contribute!

Remaining budget needs:

  • $550 archival licensing
  • $2000 remainder editor's fee
  • $500 musical score
  • $150 color grade

All donations will result in a special thanks at the end of the film and a download of the final project which will start being submitted to film festivals in January 2025.
