Urgent: We Need a Medical Evacuation to Save Eric's Life

Eric, a 33-year-old healthy, vibrant young man, traveled to Makassar, Indonesia to bring home his new bride-to-be. Suddenly experiencing a severe headache, he was rushed to a local hospital. Doctors faced with a patient unable to breathe discovered brain swelling that was causing his body to shut down. They quickly performed surgery to reduce the swelling, induced a coma, and intubated him to stabilize his condition.

The surgery successfully addressed the immediate life-threatening issue, but the medical facilities in Makassar lack the resources and specialists to determine the cause of the swelling, perform further surgery if needed, or provide ongoing care. His family flew half way around the world to be by his side, and have remained there to support him. Eric is lying in a coma with the risk of complications increasing daily. Without proper treatment, we know his condition will worsen.

Why We Need Your Help:

Until three weeks ago, Eric had a bright future ahead of him. As a musician and an IT specialist with Jersey Mikes, his kindness and loving nature have made a positive impact on everyone he encounters. Eric is a man of strong faith, and a member of Shore Christian Church where he volunteers as a musician for the worship team. Eric was in excellent health prior to this incident. This injury has come as a shock, and now his friends and family are working urgently to bring him back to the United States for the necessary care, specialists, and rehabilitation. They have identified an accredited Medivac Transport team and a hospital in New Jersey with the expertise required for his treatment.

• Air ambulance transportation to a top-tier medical facility

• Specialized medical care for to evaluate his condition and treatment

• Rehab
