Help Us Recover After Dad's Brain Hemorrhage

Donation protected
My dad and I drove an hour away from home so I could take the ACT at V.R. Eaton High School. The reason we drove so far is that the ACT is less popular here in North Texas compared to the SAT. I left to start testing at 8 am, and when I came back at 12:15 pm I found him semi-conscious and incoherent. I rushed him to the hospital and they did some CT scans, and it turned out that he had experienced a brain hemorrhage for an unknown reason. We did not see any injury marks and have no theory as to why it happened.

The hospital quickly realized that his body was failing to produce clotting agents for the bleeding in his brain. Therefore, his brain could not heal on its own. After setting him on life support, a respirator, and many medications to help him heal his brain, nothing worked. He has been pronounced completely dead due to brain failure.

He was the only employed one in our family of four, and we're on non-immigrant visa status in the US. We came here from India when I was in middle school to get me ready for college here. Legally we are dependents, and now my dad has passed, leaving us with no source of income and with little legal power. Our permanent residency process has been going on since 2013 and we've made little progress in the huge line of immigrants. The health insurance is only covering so much, and we need some money to pay the medical bills for his treatment and hospice. We're stuck here with little money, and I'm trying to stay as strong as I can for my now single mom. We need to pay for funeral expenses, transporting the body, and doing so in a religiously sound way. I'm going to college soon, and now that we have no source of income left, I'm not sure how I'll be able to pay for anything. I'm really trying to relieve pressure off my mom as much as possible, because she's the one suffering the most, especially with her anxiety. I'm only 16.

Please help us, donate any little amount to help, and spread the word. Not for me, not for my brother, but for my mom.
